On October 10, Plezalni Center Verd celebrated the 10th anniversary of its commercial operation, marking this important milestone together with its amateur Village League.

The celebration was also attended by the world-renowned climber Janja Garnbret, who regularly trains at this climbing center. With her presence, she added a special touch to the event—helping cut the birthday cake, singing “Happy Birthday” to the center together with the visitors, and creating a festive atmosphere. She also dedicated time to her fans by signing autographs, taking photos with them, and preparing climbing challenges for children, which delighted everyone present, especially the youngest visitors.

Over the past ten years, Plezalni Center Verd has come a long way. It began as a space intended primarily for the Slovenian national climbing team, but under the guidance of the well-known climber from Vrhnika, Aljoša Grom, it has transformed into a popular sports center for both children and adults.

Today, the center offers a rich and diverse program—from climbing and movement programs for children, guided workouts for adults, to birthday parties, pole fitness training, and aerial silks classes. They are also actively developing their own base of young competitive climbing talents. In recent years, the facilities have been renovated and expanded several times, with new activities added, always guided by the vision of providing children and parents with an active and enjoyable experience.

They are especially proud of last year’s opening of an adventure playroom for children, as there is a noticeable lack of such spaces in Vrhnika and its surrounding area.
